I had an amazing time with the Vilnius-Riga Sightseeing Tour, which lasted nearly 10 hours, with Laura as our tour guide. Laura was incredibly entertaining and attentive throughout the trip. It was both exciting and informative as she shared a lot of local insights. I have been to a few places and I must say Laura is the best tour guide I ever had! Thank you, Laura for the fun tour and bringing us safely in Riga. :)
I’ve enjoyed every minute of the tour through the countryside of Lithuania and Latvia. Laura is an excellent guide. She told a lot of every aspect of life in the Baltic States and was very energetic.
Driving from Vilnius to Riga was a captivating experience, with rolling landscapes, charming villages, and serene forests along the way. The air was fresh, filled with the scent of pine and earth. We made some incredible stops along the way. We bumped into a village market to sample local delicacies, we enjoyed the lush greens of summer and the occasional vibrant colors of autumn leaves Each turn revealed stunning vistas, creating a sense of adventure and connection to the rich culture of the Baltics. Our journey was a blend of tranquility and excitement, making it a memorable road trip. Ruta, who turned out to be a font of information on the Lithuanian history, culture, tradition, astronomy and astrology, kept us engrossed with her insights and stories. Each stop along the journey enriched our experience, making the drive from Vilnius to Riga not just a scenic route but a deep dive into the heart of Lithuanian and Latvian culture. Thank you Ruta, for sharing your knowledge about Lithuanian culture and history. Your passion for the local traditions truly enriched the journey, making each stop even more meaningful. We feel like we’ve gained a deeper understanding of this beautiful region because of you.
My friends and I booked the Vilnius to Riga trip as a private charter for the four of us. Our driver/guide was Laura, who was a pleasure to spend the day with. She was informative, interesting, fun and flexible, which we very much appreciated, since we wanted to make a detour to a town not on the itinerary. She accommodated all our requests and made the day a highlight of our two-week trip. Thank you, Laura, for a wonderful, memorable day!
This is a long day but very interesting and so much better than flying or traveling via bus. We stopped at Kaunas, Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Salaspils. There was ample time to explore at each stop and our guide was a wealth of information. We would definitely recommend this mode of transportation and Laura!
An excellent itinerary that took us across to our next destination whilst stopping over to see places of historical interest in Lithuania and Latvia. The Guide was lively and interesting
We had a very entertaining and historical tour when transferring from Vilnius to Riga. Our guide Laura, gave great insight into local regional history through the ages as we also stopped and viewed Kaunos, the Hill of Crosses, Rundale palace in Latvia, Salaspils camp memorial just outside Riga before we were dropped off at Our hotel in Riga
The sites were great - it was wonderful to see parts of Lithuania and Latvia we wouldn't have been able to see otherwise! Our guide Laura was amazing! So knowledgeable, funny and passionate!
We were greeted by Laura with enthusiasm and a lovely smile. We weren't disappointed as we had a fabulous trip to Riga .Laura was well organised, and shared lots of interesting stories and history of both countries. We had a great trip with Laura and would highly recommend it. Thankyou Laura🙂
A wonderful way to travel from Vilnius to Riga. Laura was full of energy and love for her country and a delight to spend the day with!
Amazing way to travel between Vilnius and Riga. Got to see so many sights along the way. Great pace, not too rushed. Was excellent for young children. Guide was very friendly and passionate.
The guide was really enthusiastic and energetic. Really great experience.
Tour bien organisé, arrêts touristiques avec courtes explications et temps libre, chance de visiter Salaspils .Laura est gaie dynamique, très agréable, à l' écoute des questions, disponible, Un vrai plaisir !
Recommend this tour , the best way to travel not only destination to Destinations but give us option to see many interesting place on the way . Our guide Laura is amazing full of knowledge - energy- responsible- come before time keep checking that we are ok .
We have really enjoy our trip with Laura - she was really nice, answered many our questions regarding life in LT & LV. She is a very good driver and has a good music in the car :-)
We had a wonderful time with Laura on the tour. She was brilliant, super fun and very informative and we got to see places that we would not have been able to see without driving ourselves.
Best way to get from Vilnius to Riga, visiting the main highlights on the way, with an amazing guide and driver, Laura.
We are fortunate to have Laura as our guide....super nice experience
We had a great private trip between Vilnius and Riga (we also did Riga to Tallinn), both guides were amazing and the sights we experienced were very interesting. Would thoroughly recommend taking these trips.
Great tour with lots of enthusiasm and fantastic breadth of knowledge and perfect stops
Laura was a fantastic guide who made all of the tour group feel very welcome. The trip was great - we saw multiple places (Kaunas, the Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Salaspils memorial) in one day as well as going to a restaurant for delicious Lithuanian food. Each of the stops was fascinating and felt like must-see places so it was brilliant to see them all in one day. Laura told us a lot about each of the stops while also giving us time to explore each on our own. The best way to travel between Vilnius and Riga!
Top trip and top guide.
Excellent tour to explore beautiful sights on the way from city to another. Laura was the most accomodating guide, she gave us good introductions to all of the sights before we went to explore them independently. Timing was spot on, did not feel rushed and even though this is a full day trip, it was not as exausting as I though before booking.
Mikelis gave us a pleasant drive to Kaunas following with Hill of Crosses and Rundāle palace. The city, Kaunas, definitely is worth a visit. The walk is easy and relaxed. Mikelis adjusted to our pace and left us time to shop or have a coffee break to slow down if we need to. We are lucky to have Mikelis - He is very engaging, calm and accommodative. He shared with us the interesting details about life in Latvia. We enjoyed every second of this highly interesting tour.
We booked a private tour for my parents (in their 60s) and I. The tour was excellent, everything was well taken care of by our tour guide, Laura. She was such a lovely and friendly person. I'd highly recommend this tour. Zero complain.
This tour trip was outstanding. Laura, our driver and guide, was very competent and informative— and good company. Conversations with the other passengers were also great. The sites visited on the trip were very interesting and meaningful.
Laura was a really enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide and we had a great time winding our way through the country. Lunch was lovely and the Hill of Crosses was a sight not to miss thats for sure.
When travelling between the Baltic capitals its tempting to take the quickest route but that would be a mistake. Instead for a bit more money take the guided sight seeing mini bus / people carrier and see more of Lithuania and Latvia. The vehicle was very comfortable but the highlight was our guide Laura. She was full of information, very chatty and great fun. All in all highly recommended
We traveled from Vilnius to Riga with Laura. The meeting point is not clearly described, a map with an X would be helpful. Luckily Laura was searching around for people. Kaunas (1 hour is too short), Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Salaspils are great stops. Laura is a good driver and a bottomless pit of energy. Hope to meet you again some day.
Very informative and enthusiastic guide who drove us across Vilnius to Riga. Ride was comfortable and spacious. Best of all, this was a great way to see Hill of Crosses without the logistical headache. Love to see more of these countries in the near future!
Thank you, Laura for your amazing job!! We enjoyed the tour and your company!! So glad to join this tour, as the hill of cross and Rundale palace are middle of nowhere, so this moving and sightseeing at the same time tour worked really well for us!!
We have made this tour as a private tour with our friends and we were very satisfied about the program and Laura as our guide. She is very enthousiastic to give the information we need and she is a professional and safe driver as well. We had asked to do the tour in 10 hours instead of twelve and sharp 10 hours later we arrived in Riga.

Just believe what they say: we took Vilnius /Riga and Riga/Tallinn tours and both were a great experience and a smart way to travel from one capital to the other while discovering Baltic countries. Laura was an energetic and passionate guide throughout the day.
This day's itinerary is a bit packed and I'd suggest changing the pacing/ focus a little Maybe just a little longer at the first view stop to wander around. Medininkai Castle was lovely and the right amount of time. But I think more time is needed for Druskininkai - it felt like a long drive for a short visit and there was more we wanted to see there. I think there should be time to see the town and the fountain and the shops. The cable car is ok but not worth the time compared with seeing the town. Grutas Park is an odd place - really just a collection of soviet statues that didn't really work very well as a museum - we would have preferred far less time there (if any, to be honest it can be skipped). I suggest giving people the choice of where they'd like to spend time. Laura our guide was great - this tour company has very high quality guides and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
The tour and the guide were first class. A great way of getting to know two countries in one day. Our guide Laura is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She was very good at giving us the facts but then allowing the space for us to explore as well. Thank you Laura for a memorable day!
Laura was the best guide ever! She was fun, energetic and knowledgeable. The sights were interesting and the stops were well-spaced along the route. It was nice to have some time to explore the stops on your own as well as with Laura. Definitely recommend the tour to anyone travelling from Vilnius to Riga.
The tour from Vilnius to Riga was fantastic! Our guide, Laura, was amazing: funny, knowledgeable, and helpful. Each of the stops was interesting, and there was more than enough time to see everything. Laura made Lithuanian and Latvian history interesting, personal, and relatable.
A really great way of making the most of crossing the border. It’s really easy to just think of the cities when visiting the Baltic countries, however there are amazing locations outside of the capitals too and this trip is a really easy way to visit these locations. Our driver/ guide Mike was brilliant. He shared just the right amount of information at each stop and was able to answer all of our questions. We really valued his personal anecdotes about Latvian independence and his sharing of traditional folk music. Thanks for a brilliant day Mike! Your Latvian lesson came in very handy too :)
We were a group of eight friends who decided to use this tour to get to Riga. It was a great decision. We got to visit the town of Kaunas that we otherwise wouldn’t have seen. The stop at the Hill of Crosses was both eerie and interesting. We were then lucky to have the most beautiful light when we got to Rundale Palace. Because we travelled in the very late Autumn, the days were short and saw the most beautiful sunset there. Laura, our guide, was enthusiastic and gave a fantastic energy to the whole tour and agreed without hesitation to try to see Salsapils in pitch darkness. Thanks to one of our friend’s strong photography lighting we got to experience this place in a very different way. It was intensely emotional. All in all, we had fun and saw so much more than we would otherwise. For a great price. Thank you!
We took this toor in our last day in Vilnius. The guide Laura was amazing! She presented us Vilnius old town with it’s beautiful historic monuments and Trakai National Park with the majestic medieval island castle, traditional village and romantic manor which are all sorunded by nature! PS: Vilnius it’s a very green city!
Highly recommend this tour to allow you to see some of the most interesting sights whilst also accomplishing the need to travel between the two cities. My personal favourite was the hill of crosses just because it is so unusual, but Rundale Palace is also a star stop. Laura was an excellent guide, bubbling with enthusiasm and highly enthusiastic!
Our pick-up was right on schedule! After introductions Kami took us to see the Lithuanian and Latvian culture. Kami was very enthusiastic throughout the tour and extremely knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend booking this tour if you want to learn more about Lithuania and Latvia.
Really enjoyed this tour day up to Riga. It was nice seeing the sights along tree way and meeting new people.
We are proud to be the first on tour after Corona shutdown. Our guide was really entertaining giving us a lot of insider information about country, history and people. Safe driver.
We learnt a lot about People and history and discovered Lithuania and Latvia with news eyes. Laura was very entertaining and nice and this day was very pleasant. A Must!
Great opportunity to visit remote places and learn more about Lithuania and Latvia. Laura was super nice, it was like travelling with friends! I cannot think of a better way to get from one capital to the other. Highly recommend this tour!
As I understand it, the easiest way to get from Vilnius to Riga is to take a bus, and if all you care about is getting from Point A to Point B, I imagine the bus is fine. But if you are a traveler, and you really want to see more of Lithuania and Latvia than just a brief overview of their capital cities - and if you really want to get an understanding of the countries and the region from people who are from the area - you HAVE to do this sightseeing bus tour! Pickup (and arrival, for that matter) were on-time, but still left the group plenty of time for the scheduled stops (Kaunas; the Hill of Crosses; Rundale Palace). It seems like we had a "bonus" trip, because there was another guide who was actually "playing tourist" that day, so we had two sources of information and opinions to give us the complete story. Very well done, and highly recommended!
My original plan was to just take Lux Express directly to Riga but i thought seeing more of Lithuanian would be awesome so i signed up for the trip. In the end it was the right choice. I was able to explore more places and understand more the history of Lithuania because we had a really good guide and she answered all my questions and gave even more info. I was travelling alone and the ride was comfortable and company was definitely more entertaining than strangers on a bus. Highly recommended. (Also, thanks Laura.)
We took the tour from Vilnius to Riga with Laura and had a blast. The tour was wonderful and Laura was full of energy and interesting facts about the places we stopped. We got to see several sights that would have otherwise not visited on the way.
Laura was amazing, straight from the get go. So energetic meeting us at the hotel, very knowledgeable about everything and a very enthusiastic about her job. We had a great time with her and really enjoyed being with her. We could’ve easily have spent another couple of hours with her. Would love to see her in future and/or do another tour with her in the future. Thank you for an amazing day. Tom/Paul/Dorothy/Harry

Booking the tour was simple with clear communication and payment process. Our guide, Laura met us at our meeting point on time and quickly got everyone feeling super relaxed with her fun and exciting personality. Laura was knowledgeable, funny, with great energy and a safe driver. Big thank you for a great experience for a special occasion. Sincerely recommending this tour! Achiu! D&A
Everything was perfect.
It’s been good fun, Laura was knowledgeable, a great driver and honestly, we managed to see so much! Can only recommend
It is really great time joining the tour by learning a lot inside political and history stories we can not learn from other places. Ruta, she is a great guide speaks perfect English and very nice girl. We have fun even though it is a long driving while touring on the way from Vilnius to Riga. It is very impressive experiene joining the tour.
We were a group of four friends that had just a week to visit Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. This tour made us to know more than Vilnius or Riga, making friends and assisted by Laura, who was very close and nice. We liked the places we visited in a minivan for 8 people. You are allowed to talk, to drink or eat in the minivan and the fact of being just 8 provided us agility and comfort.
Ok, my opinion could be affected by the fact that everyone on this tour was extremely nice: starting from Laura, our funny and exuberant guide, to the other amazing travellers with whom I soon formed a little family! The trip itself went through several locations which covered both the cultural/historical aspect and the sightseeing one. I learnt a lot of interesting facts well explained by Laura, who often also put a smile on our faces. I'm really glad that I joined this tour and I totally recommend it!
I really enjoyed the tour. Ruta gave interesting and passionate backgrounds and histories of both Lithuania and Latvia. Lunch was wonderful and pickup/drop off went as planned. I HIGHLY recommend this affordable trip. It was great to see the countryside. Hill of Crosses was amazing!
One of the best tour I have ever joined. Convenient for travelling from Vilnius to Riga and visiting hill of crosses and Rundāle palace. Our guide Laura is so friendly and nice. We Glad to have her for our trip!
Interesting visits. Guide was friendly and had great knowledge. Adapted to the size of the group. Highly recommended as an easy way to see Trakai and the surrounding area. Thanks :)
Our guide, Daumants, was friendly, hugely knowledgeable and really a great guide in both Lithuania and Latvia. Would thoroughly recommend as a way to get between Vilnius and Riga, as you get to see so much you otherwise wouldn't.
Had a wonderful guide take us around Lithuania and Latvia. Really enjoyed all of the stops and the in depth info from the guide. 10/10 would recommend if you're staying in the area for a few days.
Lovely enthusiastic tour guide led us with concise info at each stop with enough time to explore
We travelled between Lithuania and Latvia and it was fantastic. Breaks every hour or so and loads of great things to see and do. there were 10 of us so it was a very friendly feeling. A really great idea....
Loved every minute of this tour. It’s a long day but worth it. Our guide Ruta was brilliant. Great knowledge and answered all our questions. She also took care of all our needs - comfort stops, lunch stop and coffee stop. We visited all the places listed and our guide gave information at each point. It’s also a great way to meet fellow travelers we had representatives from Thailand, Hong Kong, Brazil, Mexico and ourselves from Ireland. Ruta was a great driver and we could judge this as we rode up front. Very calm and safe. If you are considering this method of travel go for it you won’t regret it.
My girlfriend and I took the Traveller Tours trip from Vilnius to Riga last week. It was a minibus of up to 8 and we were a full complement. The minibus and driver/guide arrived at the designated collection point early and introduced herself to us all and made us very welcome. It was clear from the outset our guide, Ruta, was enthused and full of passion. She spoke with great enthusiasm and exceptional knowledge about her country’s history - you certainly would not have thought that English wasn’t her first language her description being in great detail. All in all a great way to travel between these beautiful cities and to gain an appreciation of their history as well as to visit several interesting places en route. Would thoroughly recommend.
The sightseeing bus from Vilnius to Riga is amazing, there is no better way to travel between the two. Interesting stops along the way make the long distance seem short. A big thank you to our guide for making it interesting and to all my new friends for the memories and laughs I had along the way.
We really enjoyed the tour and many thanks to Ruta, our guide. She was very knowledgeable and is clearly very proud of her country, culture and heritage. It was a pity that it was getting dark by the time we arrived at the Salaspils Memorial, we would have loved to have seen more of it. A great day, and definitely recommended. Thank you.
A really great way to get from Vilnius to Riga and see some cool places along the way!
We were lucky enough to have Ruta as our tour guide for this trip. So not only did we go to some breathtaking places and intriguing historical monuments and museums, but we also got an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate tour guide too! The places we went were stunning, particularly as it was in the height of autumn yet with blue skies and sunny weather. The Hill of Crosses and Salaspils were particular highlights of mine due to their rich history, which Ruta was an expert on! Thank you for such a great experience.
It Is a tour that allows you to see wonderful places in a day instead of in more days. The guide was Simply fantastic and I learnt a lot about Baltic republics history. She was very competent and passionate.
A group of 8 men and women from different parts of the world have come together to soak in the beauty of Lithuania and Latvia with clear narrative from our guide Doumants. If not for the rain we would have ran riot at each destianation most especially at the Hill of Crosses. We were all at awe of these beautiful places we would have not seen if not for Traveller Tours. Keep up the good work!
I already liked the idea when i found this tour on the internet but it turned out to be even better. The concept makes a lot of sense because you get to see a bit more of these underrated countries besides the capitals and visit places you wouldn't have otherwise. Kamile was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, respectful and a safe driver! Thank you again Kamile! :)
We had the best day exploring Lithuania and Latvia with Laura, she was really fun and informative, and gave us a great history of the places that we visited. The group was small which meant that we got to know each other really well, and the van was comfortable for such a long drive. I'd go back to the Baltics just to do another of these tours! Thank you Laura!
tour guide is very kind and humorous. She has great enthusiasm for Lithuania. we have a good time!
This was an amazing experience with a great guide - Congrats Kamile , you've done a great job. On my personal interest I would do this tour with Trakai instead of Kaunas.
We had a great time. Saw alot and made the trip eventful. Kamile was a great guide. Lost of information and flexible.
Got to see several sites i wouldn’t have been able to see otherwise. Well worth the time. The hill of crosses is much bigger in person. The stop for lunch was great.
Recently I went in this tourist transfer van from central Vilnius to central Riga. The great advantage was travelling in a small group (only 8 people) and with a fantastic driver/tour guide. Ruta was a local, with a friendly personality and a great knowledge of the area, the history and the sites we visited. A great way to go!!!
Great way to transfer from Vilnius to Riga
We had a wonderful tour with Rūta. Not only was she knowledgeable about Lithuanian and Latvian history, but very passionate about Lithuanian / Latvian people and history. Her passion made the tour feel personal and I know we will always remember what we learned on our drive from Vilnius to Riga.
It is a fun way to travel. You get to visit sites where you usually will not go during a citytrip.
Don’t miss
This tour was as advertised and expected. The guide was good.
Highly recommended tour, Kamille was a great driver and hostess.
The tour was great. First our tour guide, Kamile was very good at explaining the history behind the different sites and made sure that we were on time at the van to go to our next stops. The restaurant stop was great with amazing food. The tour will drop you off right in the centre of Riga and Kamile provided us with some recommendations for nice places to eat and hang out in central Riga.
Overall, I can't recommend this enough! Ruta was a really amazing tour guide, with great knowledge of the locations in both Lithuania and Latvia. The Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Salaspils were all incredible sites to visit, which would otherwise be hard to reach if you are just based in the capitals.
Guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend her
Kamile was an excellent driver and tour guide. I learnt so much on this trip!
Guide very helpfull in describing the place and we had fun experience during our tour, very highly recommend.
Definitely I will recommend this bus one day tower to someo move to riga or between vilnius, riga,Tallinn. It was a great experience to get know the places which I wanted see but not easy to get there. Guide was very kind and knowledgeable, too
Very interesting way to travel from vilnius to riga.
Rota was a great guide... great countryside view... Rundale Palace was beautiful and the hill of crosses impressuve..enjoyed every minute
We had an excellent experience on the tour. Ruta is a very passionate and knowledgeable guide.
100% recommended! The tour guide (Carols? not sure how to spell it, but is the guy that studied biology) was great, super friendly and helpful :) and every place we visited was worth it, except where we ate, food was awful! I think nobody liked it. Everything else was perfect.
The tour was well organized, we had enough time to visit every place. Mikelis was sociable, comprehensive and engaging. He brought us into the spirit of the countries visited and I personally appreciated his passion and involvement. He definetly deserves a beer on you ;)
Kamile was a great guide. Great day.. good value for money.. enjoyed every minute!
We had a great day with Laura going from Vilnius to Riga. She is open minded, fun to be with and shared a lot of information with us about the sites. 10/10 ❤️
Really funny and prossional guide. All stops were really interesting and we had time to visit the places and relax in the same moment. Nice stop for lunch! Thanks Laura for the great Sunday.
We had a beautiful tour through Lithuania and Latvia. We saw many highlights in these countries, and had enough time to explore these places. I would recommend this tour!
Daumants was great!! Super knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and energetic. I would recommend this trip to anyone and everyone who wants to dive farther into the Baltic experience than “just” visiting the capitals.
Karolis is a friendly guide who immediately made us feel at ease, and gave us a lot of interesting information about each stop along the view. The small group of 8 people is a plus: we made friends with almost all of the participants. The time in each stop is adeguate to tour the place and the places themselves are quite interesting and worthy of visit. The general price is honest. I would definitely recommend this tour to other tourists.
Nice tour going through interesting sites. Kamile our tour guide was really cool, telling us stories and the story about Lithuania and Latvia and giving us tips for our stay in Riga. I would prefer to exclude Kaunas from the tour and add more time at the Rundāle Palace (as I personally like to explore the cities with more time) but apart from that all was fine.
It was a very nice experience. We visited places that we propably would not be able to visit by ouselves (apart from Kaunas). Our guide was excellent, kind, educated and told us everything about the history of each place we visited. The only thing we would recommend is a little more time in Kaunas (2 hours instead of 1).
Great tour. Very informative. Really enjoyed the venison restaurant. Thanks a lot.
The stops were all very nice, and the explanation and cultural discussions were terrific.
Our guide Laura was very energetic and eager to share about Lithuanian and Latvian culture, history and sceneries... I felt her passion and dedication to bring out the best as we travel together...
A terrific way to get from Vilnius to Riga (or vice versa). Great value! Our guide Ruta was a great source of information for not only history but current conditions in the Baltics. Highly recommended!
The guide was quite good but he can't do so much better
When you are on your tour through the Baltic states and want to travel from capital to capital, the Sightseeing Bus is the right choice if you do not only want to get from A to B, but if you want to see more of the region, learn about the sites and meet other people (but not too many). Our tour from Vilnius to Riga was perfectly organised. The four sites to visit were quite different: a historic city center (Kaunas), a religious pilgrim place (hill of the crosses), a baroque palace (Rundale) and a memorial site (Salaspils). Entrance fees were included. Ruta was a good and safe driver. I liked her diverse taste for music and the variety of musical styles that we heard during the trip. What really makes her stand out as a tour guide (and we have seen many) is her anticipation of the guests' needs. She answers before the question arises. All explanations were clear and precise, and she explained a lot, always adding a humouros note. Her enthousiasm is great and covered all sites in both countries. Definintely recommend! The special gift at the end of the trip: a city map of Riga with recommendations written by locals. However, it is from last year and already partly outdated, as some of the described cafes no longer exist.
The stops were great and gave me a good look at Lithuania and Latvia outside of the capital cities. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgable with history; which meant that I learned a lot from her. Would reccommend this transfer.
While organizing our Baltic holidays we found out there are not many options to travel between Vilnius and Riga, and this tour probably is the best one! We could travel confortably and safely while visiting some interesting places we would have not be able to reach by ourselves (some of them we actually didn't even know of, like Salaspils Memorial which turned out to be our favourite one!). Ruta was a perfect guide and gave us all the basic infos about the places, without making it too long and boring. At first I wasn't really happy to find out Trakai was taken out of the tour, but now I can easily see it perfectly makes sense as it's very easy to visit by yourself, and would have taken too much time away to all the other places, which are a bit rushed already. Even if you're not a "social" person, the Van is large and confortable so you will have all the "personal space" you will need. My husband and I surely recomend this tour as the best way to move from Vilnius to Riga!
Vergeet een saaie verplaatsing en koppel het functionele aan het aangename. Geniet van het landschap , de uitleg en de goedgekozen tussenstops. Aanrader!
Combining inter-city travelling, and rural sightseeing, is a great concept. We left Vilnius with Ruta at the wheel, and stopped at 4 very different places in rural Lithuania and Latvia. Ruta's knowledge and passion about her homeland made it an informative journey, and the group of 8 international travellers is enough to be comfortable. Highly recommend this trip.
It was a great tour! We had a full but not exhausting day. We got to go to many places that we couldn't have gotten to on our own with public transportation, and the sightseeing broke up what would otherwise have been a long journey. Our guide was also very enthusiastic and fun. Highly recommended!
Very nice opportunity to see places hard to reach by public transport if you haven't rented a car. Our guide (Kamile) was very friendly, and a good driver!
Nice way for discovery the countryside of Lithuania and Latvia. Laura, our guide, she's a super funny girl! The only thing I did not like is that, although Laura was very good and super nice, the tourist guide is very superficial compared to the price per person that is paid.
The tour was perfect. We learnt a lot about history and Laura, our guide, made everything funny. She was so joyful and energetic! We really enjoyed Rundala Palace, it is a beautiful place
An excellent way to travel from Vilnius to Riga, tour was very well organised splitting up the journey and enjoying good sightseeing places. Definitely recommend. Our guide Kamile was very good and happy to answer any questions.

This is such an enjoyable and efficient way to travel from Vilnius to Riga, getting to see sights off the cities which would have required separate day trips. Having a guide like Ruta was such a bonus too as she has such bright, positive and infectious energy (you can tell she absolutely loves her job and what she does!). I also liked that this mode of travelling was kept small but yet allowed us to get to know fellow travellers from other parts of the world. Glad we made the choice to travel this way!
The tour did exactly what the website described and more. Mike sang, explained and made us pass an excellent time during these 10+ hours. We didn't see the time pass and learned so much about both Lithuania and Latvia. I would recommend it 100%. Merci Mike!
The trip was excellent! Everything was organised perfectly, our guide Adam was telling us interesting and sometimes funny stories about the places we visited and life in Lithuania and Latvia. Also, the restaurant we stopped for lunch was very nice with outside tables by the pond. Full recommendation!
Rūta was a great guide too
The sightseeing tour was a great experience. The stops along the way made the transfer between Vilnius and Riga a great and interesting experience. With our great guide, we had a good time and I can only highly recommend it!
Our knowledgeable and very sympathetic guide Laura made sure, that our group of eight tourists from Canada, Greece, Italy and Germany had a good time. The stops were well planned with the right amount of time. Before visiting the Hill of Crosses, we stopped at a nice restaurant and had a delicious lunch. I highly recommend this tour!
It was a really rewarding experience,we got to see sights in both countries we wouldn't see on our own!The guide was very helpful, cheerful and gave us lots of useful and interesting information about the sights and monuments we saw.
Tour was great and so was the guide. I am aware that visit to Trakai was recently taken off the scope of this tour. But I think instead of Rundale Parish, Trakai still would be a better alternative. The Parish is nothing other than an old mansion on a poor garden. I believe that part should be reconsidered. Other locations were cool places to visit and our guide was really amazing. I am thankful that I took this tour!
Excellent tour, nice places to visit
I took this tour from Vilnius to Riga. It was really interesting and well-organised. Overall, our guide, Ruta was fantastic! She was very kind, helpful and teacher us some very interesting things about all the places we saw and replied to all our questions! We were always in time, the trip was confortable and I loved to meet each other people! Once I'll return to Baltic States, I'll absolutely take this opportunity again to see what is a little bit far from the capitals. Thank you Traveller and thank you Ruta! See you on my next trip!
This was a great tour to make the most of the day travelling between Vilnius and Riga. We had various stops at interesting historical sites in Lithuania and Latvia (as well as a rest stop for WC use and snack buying). Kamile was open to all questions and clearly communicated to the group the timeline for the day. There is a lunch break but it is good to come prepared with some snacks for the morning and afternoon rides.
From our friendly, knowledgeable guide Kamile to our interesting co-travelers, this was a fun and informative series of visits from Vilnius to Riga. The most powerful one was in Salaspils where Kamile shared her own family’s suffering at the hands of the Soviets. It spurred a fascinating discussion linking the horrors of the Holocaust to those of Soviet occupation. One of the guides from a companion group joined us, adding much to the give an take, There was much to learn and much to acknowledge. But there was also the opportunity for interesting and friendly chat over a tasty lunch. Our group was very international, representing 3 continents. Many thanks also to Kamile who offered to drop us off at our hotel at the end of the ride. Much appreciated since we were the “old folks” among these wonderful, youthful travelers. Great to have all the stops along the way, but really missed not going to Trakai. Would have traded Kaunas for that experience, for sure.
The guide is great and lovely. We all visited Kanuas and Trakai are beautiful.
Angenehme Fahrt.
As an alternative to flying or getting the coach between capitals, this is great. The journey times between stops are very manageable (with plenty of toilet stops for those who need it), the bus is comfortable and roomy, and the places you visit are varied and interesting. The highlight for me was the Salaspils Memorial Ensembe. Beatrice was a great driver and guide, and she has a wonderful singing voice! Lucky to share the journey with some wonderfully interesting fellow travellers.
We were a group of five people from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil and Germany traveling with our guide Ruta from Vilnius to Riga. Ruta was a very knowledgeable guide, who was passionate about her home country and gave us los of interesting information on the history and culture of Lithuania and Latvia. She was very pleasant and friendly and always wore a smile on her face. The places we visited are not easy to reach if not by driving, so this was an excellent way to see places I probably would not have seen otherwise. At every stop, Ruta gave us an introduction to the history of the place and then gave us time to roam around and explore by ourselves.
I loved Ruta. She is attentive, friendly and does her job very well. The tour is great, but I highlight the Ruinsdale Palace and the Soviet Monument. In the other hand, I just think lunch should be included in the price.
Rūta was our guide and she was exceptionally great-knowledgeable, accommodative and a good listener. We covered all the places from Vilnius to Riga journey as mentioned in the your. We left on time and reached our destination comfortably. It didn’t seem like a 12 hr journey even though it was! I highly recommend Rūta and her company.
Abbiamo trovato il viaggio estremamente interessante per i luoghi visitati, mancava forse una mezz'oretta a Kaunas. Estremamente piacevole e gentile anche la nostra accompagnatrice Ruta!!!

We loved our trip with Laura! She was full of information and delivered it so energetically that even the kids loved learning all the history. Great trip!!!
It was my right decision to travel to Riga with Traveller, instead of going by a local bus. The 4 stops are really interesting plus a nice restaurant with good taste and reasonable prices. The most important is the guide, who is Beatrice. She is a wonderful woman. She is funny and super friendly. She entertained the group quite well and gave us enough information, plus she has wonderful voice. However, I also have got a negative comment about my seat. My seat was just next to the driver. Actually, it was so nice to sit next to the lovely driver like Beatrice, However, my seat is so narrow. I couldn't extend my legs through the trip to Riga. I would suggest either to skip this seat or the tour guide should come up with an idea to rotate the seat. (I took the trip from Riga to Tallinn, one of our group suggested doing like this, which was very nice. We all can move around not fix to someone through the trip and fair to the one who sits at the bad seat.
This tour was a great decision with its combination of transport and sightseeing. Mike was friendly, knowledgeable and interesting. He obviously had a real passion for the areas we visited - he even sang stirring Latvian songs for us. We got to see places we would never have thought to visit and learn the basics of Lithuanian and Latvian history. Initially we thought this would be a difficult day due to its length, but the trip was broken into easily manageable sections and the time just flew.
We had so much fun traveling with our small group and AWESOME guide from Vilnius to Riga. We explored Kaunas, had a delicious lunch at a lovely restaurant, explored the Hill of Crosses and Rundale palace gardens and even had time to stop at the Salaspils memorial site. A perfect way to go from city to city- see the sites along the way while garnering so much good information from a personable guide and making good friends from all around the world during the trip! What could be better than that?! We usually try to piece together public transportation to get around, but we are so glad we chose Traveller Tours instead. Don't think twice about it, book it!
I had an awesome time doing this tour and I fully recommend it. Our guide Rūta was highly competent and shared a lot of historical facts with great passion. She also took care of every detail: music playlist, food suggestions, questions and responsable driving, always with a big smile. The hill of crosses, the Rundāle palace and the memorial monument were definitely the highlights for me, but highly unreachable by public transportation as they are in the middle of nowhere. So this is definitely a great option to get yourself from Vilnius to Riga without missing these interesting places.
Everything was fine, good company, beautiful places, nice guide.
Recommend the tour, much better than flying
This is my second experience with your respectful company ,Tour is really exciting & Comprehensive , The Big Thanks goes to our guide Beatrice was amazing and so friendly.
We chose this trip over the regular bus/train services to see something of the countryside. We were not disappointed. Had a chance to explore Kaunas and see the Hill of Crosses and a Soviet WWII monument. Not sure if all tours are the same tough. Also stopped for lunch, but having snacks for the nearly 12 hours helped (water was provided). Our guide was very knowledgeable and drove very safely... both are qualities highly appreciated. And yes... the 12 hours are long and tiresome at times, but otherwise we would have missed the countryside. We also did the Riga-Tallinn ride.
We had a fantastic day exploring the Lithuanian and Latvian country, and learnt a lot about the two places. Our guide Beatrice was incredible. She kept high energy all day and was so much fun.
I was happy to be able to visit the Latvian and Lithuanian countryside and learn a lot about these two countries at the same time. The car ride was long but that was also how we got to ask questions to know better of the lands. Our guide, Karolis, also told us many jokes that are both funny and informative! I enjoyed this tour a lot and highly recommend it.
Our bus had six passengers and a driver. The small number of passengers made the experience much more personal. Our driver Lorinas was very knowledgeable, humorous, and customer centric. He made our journey very enjoyable.
The tour guide was so nice and had very detailed explanations on the spots and the history. I really enjoyed and learnt a lot from this tour!
This was a lovely day in large part because of our very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. She was friendly, professional at all times and very attentive to the needs of everyone in our group. In fact the group gelled very well which made the trip that much more enjoyable: thank you!
We had a great fun group of 8. Kamile was an excellent kind smart guide. Long day but went by very fast. Only negative: van was NOT Comfortable. Whoever sits in front middle seat has absolutely no legroom. Need to upgrade the vans you use especially for a full group.
We had a wonderful, relaxed yet informative journey from Vilnius to Riga. 5 guests from Asia, Australia, North America plus our driver and guide Karolis from Lithuania (Europe). Karolis kept us informed with in-depth discussions and historical background on each stop, while keeping us on time. And he allowed enough free time to explore at each stop as well, which I greatly appreciated.
Fun guide and anxious to please
Great way to travel this distance. Stop off points we’ll chosen and what a fabulous day thanks to our enthusiastic guide Beatrice
Great way to travel this distance. Stop off points we’ll chosen and what a fabulous day thanks to our enthusiastic guide Beatrice
This was a great way to see some sights that are farther away from Vilnius and Riga. The van was spacious and comfortable, the group was intimate, and Rūta was a wonderful tour guide. She knew tons of history, and it was fascinating to hear her thoughts on the contemporary political situation in Lithuania. She was well informed and thoughtful. I do wish we had eaten lunch in Kaunas instead of near the Hill of Crosses. We didn't have as much time in Kaunus as I would have liked, and the restaurant near the Hill of Crosses was mediocre. Other than that, I felt the tour was well planned and paced. There was plenty of time at the Hill of Crosses and Salaspils, and though I could have spent a long time both in Kaunas and at Rūndale Palace (interesting gardens!), we would have been exhausted had the tour been longer than 12 hours.
It is the best way moving to Vilnius to Riga. Firstly I planed to go to the hill of crosses by myself. But I noticed it takes time and I need to carry heavy luggage’s... This tour takes me some places I want to go, Kaunas , the hill of crosses and Rundāle pils. It is very nice experience in Lithuania. And our guide,Mr. Laurynas, is the best guide!!! He knows about the places very well and teach us kindly, sometimes with jokes:) I highly recommend this tour!
We had an excellent tour from Vilnius to Riga. Our fellow passengers were great. We had so much fun together, Also, Laurynas, our tour guide, was superb. He has a wicked sense of humor and great taste in music. In addition, he is very thoughtful and sensitive. A bee was stuck in the van at one point, Laurynas saved him, named him Charlie and proceeded to make multiple puns about Charlie. As my husband said, he made the difference between a good and a great trip.
A very cool trip with a lovely, knowledgeable tour guide. Kept us moving, laughing and gave us excellently delivered background on the sites we crossed. Recommended.
The trip by minivan from Vilnius to Riga was comfortable, scenic, interesting and fun. Our guide Laurynas has a deep understanding of the history and culture of the two countries and is excellent at communicating this in an informative and interesting manner. I was also able to meet very interesting travel companions. All in all, a great trip.
The tour was very nice, but our guide Lao was remarkable, outstanding. Made the whole difference
This is the BEST option to travel between two Baltic capitals and visit important sightseeing spots which are difficult to reach by public transport. Our guide Beatričė has not only taken us to the sightseeing spots, but further back to the history and the heart of the two nations (with her lovely singing as well). I would highly recommend this tour to fellow travellers, and will definitely participate the Tallinn-Riga one in my next visit. Just a quick word of suggestion: it would be great to have a sign of some sort (e.g. Vilnius to Riga) displayed for the meet up - although it was obvious in Vilnius as there was no other vans around, it may be a bit difficult for busier locations.
Lovely to see the attractions and the countryside. Beatrice was an outstanding Guide/Driver. She is passionate about her work, knowledgeable, great sense of humour and considerate towards her clients. We had a terrific day and enjoyed the company of the other clients.
Great way to travel and see country. I think a stop a a Jewish concentration camp rather than the Salaspils would be better
Very heartfelt and exciting guide was very interesting
Lou is the best tour guide I have ever met! He is very considerate and help us a lot, give us a lot of useful information, both historical and for eating and entertainment! Also,he would have u some sweet. I would recommend every friends to visit Baltic and participate in this tour!
This was a great way to get between the two cities and see some sites which would be very diffcult to get to otherwise. I feel like the tour could have started at 8am to given more time in Kaunas and to arrive at lunch earlier (our trip didnt have lunch until after 3pm due to normal lunch stop having a private function but it would have been 2pm anyway) Also, I think arriving at Rundale palace with enough time before the inside closed would give people the option to pay extra to tour inside and not just see the gardens (which were lovely). Not as much time needed at hill of crosses (stop, a few pics and away you go) or the Salaspils. Our guide was fun and very accomodating. Thanks Ruta!
This was a really good way to get to your next destination so rather than a sweaty bus try this instead and see some of the other things Lithuania and Latvia have to offer.
Polite and very sociable guide and good dancer too
We did a private tour , with Laurynas as our guide. The tour was amazing and we were able to cover all the key sights between Vilnius and Riga , at a comfortable pace . The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. Highly recommend the tour especially if you would like to maximize your time.
This is a really great way to go between Vilnius and Riga. Get a chance to see places you wouldn't be able to otherwise. Group side is perfect. The guide is really good and witty. Provided us with water & chocolate (winning!) It's a long drive but plenty of stops and there wasn't anything in the itinerary that wasn't already mentioned.
There are several selection to move from Vilnius to Riga. Meantime, there are two attractive location for us. We prefer to spend adequate time for both Rundāle palace and Trakai Island Castle, and finally we decided to use Personal tour. Traveller tours provided the best experience for us with very friendly, kindly and deep knowledge guide, (who drive car), and we really enjoyed this tour. I recommend to consider this option for you.
For first timers the bus may be faster but the insights would be nil. The van stops in places that give you insight into the country.
We really enjoyed our experience on the Vilnius-Riga sightseeing tour. It brings you to places you wouldn't have known about or had the opportunity to see otherwise, and gives great insight into the history and stories of Latvia and Lithuania. Ruta was a very warm, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, and always kept our experience as the top priority. The journey in the minibus was very comfortable and the stops were broken up nicely so it flew by very quickly. Nice way to spend the day!
We had an amazing tour from Vilnius to Riga. Our guide / bus driver/ singer is lovely and shared her love of her country to us and she's truly passionate about her job. I joined the tour for the hill of crosses but turned out I'm more impressed by the memorial at salaspils.
Highly recommend this very interesting tour. Our guide Laura was super enthusiastic and knowledgable. * The city of Kaunas was charming. * The Hill of Crosses pilgrimage site was both somber and uplifting. We left a cross there for loved ones in our prayers. * Rundāle palace was grand and beautiful. * The Salaspils Memorial to victims of Fascism (Lithuanians and Jews) with its large stark somber monument and emotion evoking figures reminded us of the tens of thousands killed by the Nazis...even though created by the Russians who killed many more.
What a nice way to travel from point A to point B! Our guide, Karolis, was funny, enthusiastic...he shared touching personal stories about his family. I would highly suggest this as a way to explore the Baltic countryside!
We chose this bus over an express coach or a train because we wanted to see something of the countryside between these two Baltic capitals....and we weren't disappointed. The bus was comfortable and the group small enough to entertain each other between stops. Our guide/driver was excellent: he was a smooth, considerate driver and a most knowledgeable and charming guide. The drives between stops were no more than 2 hours in length and the time at each of the places we visited was just right for seeing around.
Great day-trip linking Vilnius to Riga while enjoying the countryside and several great places on the way. Very friendly and knowledgeable young guide, full of enthusiasm and love of her job and country! I can warmly recommend this!
11 hours, 4 stops, 2 countries, one super guide! I would recommend to everyone that wants to discover the 2 cities this transport option. Great feeling - green countryside, blue sky and interesting fact about history
I wish there was a little more legroom in the bus....i was quite cramped the whole ride.... But other than that, this was a fantastic trip. I learned a lot, the guide was very knowledgeable....you could tell he knew the subject matter from all the follow-up questions. And he was hilarious! He kept the group laughing the whole time. Would definitely recommend him!
This tour was an ideal way to get from Vilnius to Riga and also to see four places that I would probably not have seen otherwise. The charming old town of Kaunas and the incredible and moving Hill of Crosses were the first two stops in Lithuania. The grand and immaculate Rundāle Palace and the very sobering Salaspils Memorial were the two Latvian stops. There was plenty of variety in the day and the group of six people (from Australia, Hong Kong and South Africa) moved at a reasonable pace and did not feel rushed at any stage. The guide, Ruta, is a safe driver and a source of much knowledge - she made the day very memorable.
We had a great group of travellers and a wonderful guide. He was so thoughtful. We arrived in Riga in the pouring rain and he made sure everyone could get to their accommodation without getting drowned!
I loved how easy it was to travel from Vilnus to Riga. The pace of the trip was relaxing and the stops along the way made the trip interesting. Our guide Ruta did a fabulous job of explaining the history of the area with lots of enthusiasm.
We traveled from Riga to Vilnius, all the places were covered as mentioned in the trip. The tour guide Kamile was very enthusiastic and provided every detail of the history behind each place. Trip was overall good but it ended early then the stated time, it would be great if you could add few more places in the trip and have a bigger bus/van so that it would be more comfortable journey for all. Also you could include the entry fee for the rundale palace (I.e for visiting rooms) would attract more customers and people would be able to memorize latvian dynasty.
Tour was educational, interesting and the guides were entertaining and educated. By the end of it it felt like a road trip with friends more than a guided tour. Shout out to icetea
This is a great option for travel between Vilnius and Riga. There are interesting and educational stops along the way as well as other travellers sharing the experience. The small group is perfect. Our guide was both sociable and knowledgeable.. Our recommendation for the company is to clearly mark the vehicle and communicate with guests who or what they are looking for at the pickup point. We experienced 15 minutes of uncertainty that could have been avoided.
We got to see places we wanted to see but would not have time such as Kaunas, Hill of Crosses, and the Rundale Palace. It had been a fun-packed day. The guide Mike was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
A wonderful way to travel from one capital to another, while discovering the sights and history. We enjoyed traveling with a small group (7 of us). The stops along the way were well selected and the restaurant for lunch an added bonus. But what really made the trip was our guide Mike, who was really well informed, personable, patient, and very considerate. We are looking forward to continue our discovery with him between Riga and Tallinn.
Loved this tour. Mike Kia made it so much fun with his lively commentary, his love of the region, and his own enjoyment in being with us. I enjoyed each activity. And it was well paced. The 12 hours flew by and I felt no fatigue. Enjoyed the others as well. Excellent value for the money too. Thank you so much.
The Vehicle can comfortably seat 7 passengers, with reasonable space for luggage. Anna is a lovely young girl who was the driver and guide. We can follow her at the sites, or we had total freedom to wander around. All sites are totally safe. The sites are well chosen, with must go places and the less known places - but we do not mind. It is advertised as a 12-hour journey and we finished in exactly 11 hours. I personally think 10 hours is long enough because you want dinner and city nightlife after arrival. We could not hear her from the back row of the car, and of course, you need to stay with her if you want to hear her at the sites. It would be nice if audio headsets can be provided, so we could hear her from distance. Bottom line, if you are a tourist transferring between the cities and want to see something during the trip, this is the most convenient and economical option.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. What a perfect way to travel from one city to another and see and experience several major sights along the way. The tour was very well organized, the insight of the guide was fantastic, and the day really enriched our understanding of both countries that we traveled in. We highly recommend this tour!
Fantastic tour of the main attractions in Lithuania and Latvia. The tour guide was amazing.
We took the tour from Vilnius to Riga. Our guide was fun and provided lots of interesting facts. Would definitely do it again.
We have fun filled time with Laurynas. He is punctual and knowledgeable.
We really enjoyed our ride from Vilnius to Riga. Laurynas was a fantastic guide & driver. He was knowledgeable, humorous, and friendly, and personable. He'd go out of his way to make it easier for the group to get back to the van and even though there were several stops, it never felt rushed or like we were there too long.
Great experience! We did the private tour with Ruta as our guide and she was fab. Took the time we wanted to stop and see what we wanted plus some suggestions from her
Ultimately the best way to get from Vilnius to Riga. The 12h day tour is perfect for both sightseeing and getting transferred. Last but not least, Beatrice, our tour guide, is one of the best guides you’ll ever meet.
Great tour from Vilnius to Riga! We enjoyed seeing some out-of-the-way sites that we would never have made it to on our own, while traveling to our next overnight destination. Kamile was an engaging guide, and we especially appreciated hearing about her personal and family experiences as native Lithuanians.
An eclectic glimpse at Lithuania and Latvia other than the capitals. An opportunity to speak with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic local. Kamile was very accommodating, pleasing the entire group of eight passengers.
I booked this tour a couple days before I had to get to Riga, was debating on taking the bus, but wanted to see the HIll of Crosses so I gave it a try. The morning of departure I got a text from my guide that everyone else had cancelled, but they're taking me on my own. I had a customized tour which was great, since I had specific things I wanted to see and others that I skipped or did quickly. So we arrived 3 hours early and I got some great video and photos from my tour. Thanks a lot, I'd recommend this sightseeing tour to everyone!
The young student who did all the driving, Beatrice, was delightful. So friendly and informed. Our whole small tour group was fun to be with too. Loved the Hill of Crosses. Thank you so much to everyone.
Nice places along the way to Riga. Could have included a map of the pick up point or have a sticker on the vehicle for easy identification. Some members of the group had problems locating the vehicle/pick up location. However, Anna was very helpful in looking for them.
All the people on the bus were thinking 12 hours is a long time. All the people on the bus were surprised how quickly the time went. The guide was very good, the stops were nicely paced, there was a good variety of places visited. A maximum of 8 people kept the experience more personal than a lager group and there was time allowed to do your own thing. Much more interesting than taking the 'normal' bus. I can only see this trip growing in popularity.
This was a fabulous way to travel from Vilnius to Riga (or vice versa). We got to see more of Lithuania in a small group of 7 without having to plan anything extra. We had a great bunch of interesting travellers , who were open to chatting and lots of laughs. Our guide, Karolis, has a dry sense of humour, which matched our group perfectly. Highly recommended if travelling this route is part of your itinerary.
I can't think of a better way to get from Vilnius to Riga than this. We travelled with ano interesting group and had the opportunity to see places we would never have seen on an ordinary bus or train. Learned a lot about Lithuania and Latvia on the way too.
Interesting trip and nice guides! You will get great impressions, a really tasty lunch and can enjoy/sing to some local music while during the roadtrip Funfact: May you see the banana and blueberry cows.
I'd taken this tour in November 2018 from the other direction and had Laurynas as my guide. It was so amazing that I had to book this tour again for when my family came to visit me in Europe as part of our mini tour across the continent. I'd wanted to give them an experience they never forget. Much to my surprise, I had Laurynas as my guide again. I was extremely certain that they were going to have an amazing time as I did the last time when he picked us up that morning. Needless to say, they did! My family absolutely loved the trip and the time spent with Laurynas. The tour itself is extremely interesting with a lot to learn and see. But Laurynas definitely made it better. Given how we've really enjoyed this trip, guess I'm going to have to come back again in 6 months! :D
Comfortable, very well prepared and conducted tour. Interesting way to visit the country side of both countries including sites that not average tourist will visit. Well done!
The best way to see the country by travelling in a minivan and exploring the sights on the way
This was without a doubt one of the most enjoyable and informative experiences of our trip so far. Mike was a fantastic guide who was very friendly, open, hilarious, and shared a lot of culture and history with us. This is worth the money. I would recommend it to anyone.
Great way to travel from Vilnius to Riga. Karolis, our driver and guide, was enthusiastic and enjoyed showing us his beautiful country of Lithuania. The trip was well organised and we, a group of travellers covering all age groups, enjoyed our experience.
This tour is a great way to see more of Lithuania and Latvia than just the big cities, while travelling between them. Karolis was a fantastic guide - friendly, funny and very knowledgeable about the history and biology of the region. And having just 8 travellers made it a fun and manageable touring experience. I was especially glad to visit the Hill of Crosses, which would have been difficult to do independently, and my only criticism of the itinerary was that Trakai Castle was removed after we had already booked the tour. I think it would be more interesting to include Trakai and leave out Kauna. Overall it was a worthwhile tour though and I would recommend it to anyone needing to travel between Vilnius and Riga.
Great way to make a road trip more pleasant! Anna, our guide and driver was down to earth, friendly, and provided great info about Latvia and the places we stopped along the way. The trip was very laid back and adjusted as desired by the group. I personally would have preferred stopping at Trakai castle and eliminating one or two of the other stops. I also would recommend that for a few euros more, participants could chose to be dropped wherever they are staying. It would be a nice convenience after a long drive!
Lau (sp?) did a great job with the tour/transfer from Vilnius to Riga. He's a great driver, and a really friendly, humorous, and interesting guide. He gave our group a lot of great information about each site, and he went out of his way to make everything easier for us - brought the van to pick us up so we didn't have to walk back, gave us little candies, etc. The stops were very interesting (Kaunas, the hill of crosses, Rundale Palace and Salaspils Memorial) and it gave me an opportunity to see parts of Latvia and Lithuania I wouldn't have seen on a regular bus between Vilnius and Riga.
Really relax and easy tour. We have 8 people in our group, all lovely also. Our guide is also super friendly and helpful. We are so impressed. Surely recommended to friends.
a great day of sightseeing. Lovely and informative tour guide Lau who had both a good sense of humour and a passion and respect for his countr's history
This is a great way to travel from Vilnius to Riga, or vice versa. We set off in a small minibus from cathedral square and drove for about 90 mins to Kaunas, second largest city in Lithuania. Had a short walk around old town and then another 2 hour drive to restaurant near hill of crosses. After lunch at the restaurant three min drive to hill of crosses, 30 mins look round, then on to Rundales palace, then on to Salaspils memorial park. Arrived in Riga about 7pm. The driver was also the guide, he was very knowledgable and spoke excellent English.
We have some stops on our way to Riga and it was funny and gave us many chance to explore the beautiful nature as well as the history of both Lithuania and Latvia. Tour guide cum driver has been enthusiastic and ready to help us during the whole trip.
The tour was fun and very interesting as we discovered a bit more about Lithuania and Latvia history. The stops were well spaced so you have frequent breaks during the journey. The minibus (8 people maximum) is a perfect size if you are not that much into "tour bus" and allows you to discuss with the other travellers and the guide. The guide was very friendly, informative and full of tips to make the most of Latvia. The driving could have been more relaxed though and we found that Kamile was often pushing to overtake despite us then arriving a few hours early. Otherwise a very enjoyable trip.
Everything was great. Lau was and excellent driver and guide, knowledgable and nice person. The car was confortable. Stops were interesting. It is worth.
Our tour guide was Lau. He was just funny, knowledgeable, warm and very well informed. The 4 stops were well sequenced. The 12 hours flew by and the choice of music in the car was excellent. The co-passengers were fun too. All in all, worth every penny paid.
It was a perfect day; our guide Laurynas was a great driver and a great guide, he told us a lot of interesting things about what we were seeing. The group was small: me, 2 japanese girls and a canadian boy! This is the best way to move from Vilnius to Riga (or from Riga to Vilnius), you can see a lot of things and learn very much about Lithuania and Latvia! Thanks for the wonderful day!
Great guide, beautiful sightseeing, definitely best way to travel between countries!
Laurynas and the tour were both amazing. The sites were interesting and he really knew what he was talking about. Food was good and the van was comfortable. Great way to get from Vilnius to Riga.
Our guide Beatrice was very upbeat, positive, and knew lots of great information about each stop. The tour had stops at great tourist locations and never felt rushed. Stopped at a nice restaurant for lunch at well.
A lively entertains trip from Vilnius to Riga. Way better than a bus or plane. Our guide and driver, Laura, presented a current day cultural view of Lithuania, Latvia, and famous sights along the way. Riding in a 9 passenger, air conditioned van, we saw more than all day trips combined as we zig-zagged our way to Trakai, Kaunas, Hill of Crosses, Rundale, and Salaspils. We stopped for lunch at an authentic Lithuanian restaurant. The narrative was entertaining, informative, and funny. I met some delightful people from the UK, Netherlands, US, and Ireland. I would highly recommend it for solo and couple travelers
Kamile, our guide, was great. Friendly, thoughtful and full of information which was great as it is quite a long day. She is also an excellent driver.
The tour/trip was really easy to book and the company were professional and helpful when I had questions. For the tour itself, Kamile made sure we had enough time at each stop, and provided a lot of background and local information to allow us to appreciate each site. If you want to visit the Baltic countries and want to see more than just the capital cities, this tour is definitely the best way to see more of Lithuania and Latvia, and travel to a new destination all at the same time.
We are a family of four, 2 adults and 2 children, and when planning our Baltic trip, were initially looking at all options of getting from Vilnius to Riga (via a flight, train, bus and renting a car). By chance, we saw this tour bus option with Traveller Tours and booked it. It provides an opportunity to see some awesome sights along the way and before we knew it, we had reached our destination. The company uses an 8 seater vehicle which was spacious, new and comfortable. Our tour guide/driver, Anna, was knowledgable, great company and patient - all in all amazing!
This is a clever way to travel between Riga and Vilnius, and breaks up a long journey. We wanted to see 2 of the places we visited, which would have been a day trip if we hadn't used this company. The stops along the way break up a long trip and the amount of time at each one was just about perfect. Our guide was funny and helpful and I felt I learned a lot about both countries from chatting to him. I would have liked a bit longer at The Hill of Crosses, but that's a personal preference, and it was a freezing wind that day!
Just what we were looking for. A great way to see some of the highlights between Vilnius and Riga. With a very knowledgable, friendly chatty guide. 👍
Kamie was an excellent driver and a guide. A treasure of information and great fun at the same time. We had a wonderful day.
Our guide/driver was amazing. The tour is perfectly organized and you have the chance to see a lot of places badly connected to each other. In one day you can see them all and share this opportunity with some great people!
It was a good way to make a one way journey to Riga. Pick up was on time and at the location stated. It was a small group 5 in total (maybe due to winter period) but no complaints as it was a friendly bunch and more spacious in the van! Kamille was so lovely and friendly. Told us a little about the places we visited. It was a cold weekend but seeing the castle, walking on the frozen lake and the hill of crosses covered in snow was beautiful, also seeing the small town of Kaunas. We took a tour of the palace inside as it was cold, which was so colourful and in the summer the gardens would 've been beautiful. We maybe spent around 30-40minutes at each of the places and stopped for lunch for about the same time. Overall it was well planned and everything was done to schedule so we could see all the places and arrived on time to Riga. We would recommend the trip to anyone wanting a oneway ride. Maybe next time we would take the trip from Riga to Tallinn or even to the beach in Lithuania!
Way better than sitting idle in a bus or train for a long period of time. Lau our guide was great, full of energy on a cold gloomy day! He gave us many interesting facts and was very engaging. We ran into a mini accident so we were not able to enter the Rundāle palace. Nonetheless, Lau brought us in the palace grounds and still gave us an in depth run down of the place. This trip is highly recommended!
Great way to travel between the capitals and see more of each country and learn some interesting history
Laurynas was very knowledged in the histories of both countries and has a great way of storytelling :) The sites along the way are really nice and worth visiting.
It was a cold (and literally dead) day in Vilnius when Laurynas picked us up, but he was able to turn it into a still very entertaining day. The tour was well guided and timed. With sufficient and interesting background informartion on sights we saw, it was a smooth journey from vilnius to riga. I thank Laurynas and my fellow travellers for making the trip enjoyable and very comfortable.
Fantastic trip really great value for money, enjoyed all the stops along the way and our guide was cheerful, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Learnt loads along the way and spent just the right amount of time in each place. Thanks for a great trip 😊
I loved this day trip going from Vilnius to Riga. We had a small group, so it was very personable and our tour guide, Laura, was amazing. The stops we made were really the best places between Vilnius and Riga, and at each one we had a little time to check things out. Yes, you may want to spend more time at Trakai, or Kaunas, but because I knew our time was limited we went to these places the day before. We spent our time at Rundale exploring the gardens, if we had more time I suppose we would've checked out the interior too. Truly, the best part of the trip was our guide/driver, Laura, her knowledge and fun attitude kept us all laughing and learning the entire trip. I would definitely recommend this as the best way to travel from Vilnius to Riga!!
We both really enjoyed this tour: the selection of places to stop was excellent and the tour guide both knowledgeable and entertaining. This is a great way of adding value to the trip between Vilnius and Riga.
As I’m visiting all three Baltic countries, I wanted to see more than just the capital cities. Combining a tour with travel from Vilnius to Riga seemed the most efficient way to do so. And it was absolutely worth the extra journey time and cost. From the outset our guide was friendly, welcoming and super informative. I really enjoyed learning more about the history of both Lithuania and Latvia against the backdrop of autumn leaves and sunlight. My favourite stop was the Rundāles Pils garden, which was amazing. My only suggestion would be maybe starting the tour an hour earlier to beat the sunset to the last stop at Salaspils Memorial at this time of year, though seeing the stars start to come out was quite beautiful anyway.
Our guide Karolis was a superfriendly guide who drove us on time to several beautiful destinations between Lithuania and Latvia. If you would like to see both countries without your own car, book this tour!
The tour was very nice and our guide very kind and relaxed. He told us many intetesting details about The Baltics and was very enthusiastic. Nice lunch place also.
We took the Vilnius-Riga tour for a chance to explore the Lithuanian and Latvian countryside instead of a direct but dull bus - and we weren't disappointed. Karolis was a brilliant guide, very friendly and knowledgeable about all the places we visited and the region in general. The tour managed to pack a lot in without feeling too exhausting. Trakai Castle was a particular highlight but loved every bit of it - a beautiful part of the world and we are very glad we visited!
We did this trip with driver and guide, Lau, on 26th Sept. Fantastic way to get out of the city, see other small towns, countryside and monuments. Fun to travel in this small group and share experiences. Fascinating to have the countries' histories presented in a personal way.... everyone here has a story to tell, regarding them or their family. Lau was excellent and went out of his way to make the day special
The only way to. Go, really.
Great way to see sights that you wouldn't otherwise, great insight from Lau our guide and great way to meet others as well. Much better than catching a plane!
I had never done anything like this before so it was a really interesting experience! I would definitely recommend it as a way of travelling between two cities as long as you have the time. As for the tour itself, our guide was very enthusiastic and informative and each of the sights were unique and played an important part in the history of Lithuania and Latvia, which was great to hear and learn about.
I had the most wonderful time travelling to Riga, on this sightseeing van! The guide was great, fun and kind! I was travelling on my own, but there were 7 more people in the van, most of them travelling also on their owns, so it was nice for all of us to have company for a while! Thank you for a wonderful time!
Our guide was very well versed in the history and places.
We spent such a productive day with our lovely guide. She has a full of knowledge on Lithuanian history. Our tour was a private type, and she guided perfectly and professionally our request. We will definitely look into her suggestions she made during the tour.
We had an excellent time while travelling with Laura. She provided us with many information about the places we visit (Trakai Castle, Hills of Crosses, Rundāle palace's gardens and Salaspils Memorial Ensemble), which were truly fascinating! I strongly recommend this tour!
Very interesting experience with a sympathic guide, I recommand !
It’s great to combine sightseeing with getting me from Vilnius to Riga.
We took the tour to discover the lithuanian and latvian countryside. The guide was very friendly and very informative. We did enjoy every stop. It was raining most of the day so we had to cut it short in some places. Something that maybe can be better would be the time we get to wander alone in the sites (especially at Salaspils where we didn’t get the time to do so, maybe due to the rain...) Recommended tour anyway
A good selection of touristic sites is offered in a kind atmosphere of a small group leaded by a kind and sympa guide. Maybe I'd like to have more time to see one of his places -like the Palace- and make 4 instead of 5 stops.
The trip was nice and relaxing. It went smoothly. Important to note that the guider was great. My family and I are deaf. He has shown respect and courtesy by communicating via texting. We received all information. We re grateful to Laurynas for the great experience.
We adored our wonderful guide and driver, Laura who whisked us from Vilnius to Riga with lots of stops along the way. Really glad we went with this tour instead of hiring a car!
We took the Vilnius-Riga day tour with young and very enthusiastic Lithuanian girl Laura. She knew a lot about the local history and took us to places that were amazing and unforgettable. Highly recommended tour if you are travelling in the Baltic countries. You will get a good historic overview and visit some of the hidden gems that are located outside of the capitals. It was really travelling-like-a-local experience!
If you have a full day to go between cities, this is the way to go! We had a full van (8 people), and our guide, Laura, took the time and initiative to make everyone feel welcome. While there wasn’t a huge amount of time at each stop, but there certainly was enough to see what you have to see. Laura is an excellent driver and passionate guide and cheerleader for her country. Just beware ... there is only one correct answer to any question she asks that compares any of the 3 Baltic countries!! :)
Excellent tour, very friendly & knowledgeable guide, well chosen sightseeing stops on the way from Vilnius to Riga. Flexible, catered to our needs perfectly.
The bus tour was from 9 am to 8:30 pm. There were several stops between Vilnius to Riga as described in the website. In general, the tour guide was very friendly and passionate who told us many interesting stories. However, I wish we could spend a bit more time in Trakai Castle which is really beautiful.
I thoroughly enjoyed the trip from Vilnius to Riga with Traveller Tours. This was mainly due to our excellent guide, Laura, who was very enthusiastic and also knowledgeable about the sites we visited. Laura was also a careful and patient driver.
I really recommend doing this tour if you want to see more of the baltic countries besides the capital. The only downside is that you don't really have much time at the stops.
I could've just went to Riga by normal bus, but luckily I found this online! It was a long day but totally worth it. We stopped five times on the way from Vilnius to Riga. Each stop is worth seeing. Laura, our guide, is very passionate about the baltic countries and her love for her home country made it very informative as she also had some personal stories to contribute that added to the experience. Overall, I highly recommend this very personal tour as you will discover places that you might miss otherwise.
Ever felt you’re a lazy tourist? Want to see the best things on the countryside but you don’t want to bother with hiring a car? That’s why we took the air conditioned minibus trip from Vilnius to Riga. Several short stops showed noteworthy places, explained by the guide/driver. We also stopped by a forgettable restaurant - we ordered our meals well in advance, still we waited 15 minutes from when the first plate was served until the last traveller in the small group got his. This trip took over 12 hours, while an express bus makes the A to B trip in just over four. Traveller’s minibus is absolutely worth it. The stops are short but interesting, except the last one, a freedom monument on the grounds of a former concentration camp. It’s rather close to the city center. On the other hand, this was the place where our guide chose to share a bit of Latvian and family history, much appreciated.
We travelled from Vilnius to Riga. We think that this tour was the best choice during our baltic trip! Lau (our guide) was very kind and friendly and gave a lot of information about the visited places. Moreover, he has a great sense of homour! Although the tour was long (12 hours) it was very interesting and we enjoyed every minute! The other passengers were also very nice, friendly and openminded, it was interesting to talk to each other. We recommend this tour everybody who would like to discover the essential of these countries and get unforgetable memories!
This is such a great trip. Adam was a knowledgeable guide taking us through Lithuania and Latvia. We saw parts of the 2 counties that we would never have seen on a normal coach especially the Hill of Crosses and the memorial outside of Riga. Lunch was very good and, as we had pre-orded, served with the minimum of fuss and waiting time. We expected our fellow passengers to be younger but there was a full range of ages and we had some lovely companions for the journey. On a seperate note, we would like to acknowledge the help from Heleene in the office as we managed to confuse the dates for our bookings and it took a few emails to make sure that it was all sorted. All in all, I can thoroughly recommend the company and the tour.
It was great fun. Long and trying day but absolutely worth it. I would recommend this tour to anyone travelling between Vilnius and Riga. Tomorrow I will be doing the Riga-Talin one. My only comcern was that i was not not informed the departure date of the tour. I sent an email to the office but they rwpliwd the day after when I was already on the tour. This is why i gave 4 stars. The tour it self was good and well worth it. the tour guide was very professional, kind and funny. Very relaxed and easygoing people on the tour as well. Truely enjoyed it.
Super!
The whole experience of the tour was great and enjoyable. Our guide was very charming and knowledgeable. We eat awesome food and dessert on our way thanks to his suggestions. The sites were impressive and you shouldnt miss them if you are touring the Balkans. The only thing I would change, it would be better directions/instructions in the email to get to the meeting point. this was a shared opinion among travellers.
Lovely guide and nice group
Our guide Laura was such a lovely person, a typical Lithuanian girl with so much stories and historical informations about both countries. The group was nice , good mood all the way long. This tour is the best way to discover Lithuania and Latvia, highly recommended!
It was great. Totally recommend it!
Great tour. Great guide. Pleasant group of travelers
Grat guide and driver.
I was quite fortunate to have Lau as my tour guide. The day started off with a few that decided to skip out, greatly to their loss yet my benefit. This meant a more personal tour with Lau as he drove the van I was in with two others, while the other van followed. Lau was remarkably knowledgeable, entertaining, and genuine. During the journey we not only covered what the tour entailed, but also the sounds and tastes of the country. What otherwise would have been a simple journey to and from with tourism sights along the way, this turned out to be a fantastic voyage that will remain very memorable to me. I would highly recommend this style tour to anyone. If you need to get from A-to-B, why not do it the fun way?
A smart way to move from Vilnius to Riga, exploring different interesting places in one day. But sometimes there's not enough time to visit them properly - especially Rundāle Palace - because of the tight time frame.
We did the tour from Vilnius to Riga which covers 5 spots in two countries. We highly recommend this tour as after the tour your will feel that you know so much more about the history of Lithuania and Latvia. We also want to complement our guide Laurynas for making this a wonderful and entertaining trip.
We are a US couple in our 50s. First time to Baltic region. Took the Vilnius - Rīga trip. When we heard it was 12hours we were a little iffy. However, sunlight is long in the summer and we went for it. Our guide, Lau, made the trip very comfortable and enjoyable. We got to see and learn a lot while being transported between countries. We liked it so much, we booked a follow on trip Rīga - Tallinn. I guess that’s the best reccomendation we can give - we are repeat customers! Thanks for the wonderful service. We are excited for our upcoming journey to Tallinn
We were lucky enough to be the only couple on the tour with the wonderful Triin helping Karolis on his first tour. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough, seeing parts of the country you might otherwise miss and hearing the history from people from the area is wonderful. Triin is so knowledgeable and welcoming and Karolis nature knowledge was a fabulous addition to the tour.
The Traveler Tour turns transport between Vilnius and Riga into a social, cultural and historical experience. Bus rides are boring, but throw together a tour guide-driver, a small group of random travelers from all over, visits to some off-the-beaten-track places, and a delicious Lithuanian lunch and you get a memorable day! I loved seeing Trakai, Kaunas, the Hill of Crosses, Rundāle Palace, & the Salspils memorial. Our guide Laurynas was great, and I came away with a real appreciation of the beautiful Baltics. Highly recommended.
When we first booked I wondered what a 180 mile journey over 12 hrs in a mini bus would be like . It was great 👍 . Laura was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic & organised - brilliant! Fellow passengers really nice .The stops were interesting we wouldn’t hesitate to do it again in fact we’ve booked with you to travel from Riga to Tallinn.
The key difference between an excellent and a good tour is the enthusiasm and charisma the guide brings to make things alive and Laura did a fabulous job of it.
Not great value for money- you don't actually get to spend as long at the stops as they advertise. We had 15/20 minutes per stop which isn't enough time to explore a new city.
I had done the tallinn to riga tour 2 years previously and thoroughly enjoyed it. Vilnius to riga was equally as good. The stops are great and break up the journey well. Guide was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable throughout. Highly recommend these tours to anyone travelling in the region
Such a great pleasure to travel with Triin, and in a small group of like minded people. She is both very informative and at times amusing. The history between Vilnius and Riga is tragic yet hopeful. Sure its a 12 hour trip, but broken up in to sectors its so enjoyable, and at the end we felt sad to leave new friends.
It is a fun trip with Triin humorous way of telling us the history of both Lithuania and Lativa. The routes are well-arranged but if there is some more time and able to visit the interior of Rundale Palace, the tour will be perfect.
Sweet & magical. Thank you, Laurynas!
What a great way to get from point A to point B with a friendly and helpful Vilnius born guide. The first stop is Trakai where you learn the history of Lithuania and get time to walk around the castle grounds and take in the views of the lake. Next up is Kaunas, the other capital of Lithuania where you get to see castles and river views. Our guide ordered our lunch ahead of time which was good because from Kaunas, it was 2 hours away but the food was great and it is a good time to try Lithuanian food if you haven't already. Gotta have that meat and especially potatoes. The next stop was about a 5 minute drive away to the highlight of the trip: the Hill of Crosses. Now Lithuania doesn't really have hills so some people might not get what they expect but the site is gorgeous and you definitely have to walk up the hill to the other side because there is so much more to see. Bring your own cross to leave behind to the ever growing "hill". Next we crossed over to Latvia. Beware, the roads are not good. I am easily prone to motion sickness and our guide did a fantastic job driving but if you do get car sick, maybe take a pill before you leave. Rundale palace was the first stop and it was very pretty and an excellent example of what palaces in St. Petersburg look like. You get time to walk around the gardens where the most prominent flowers are the roses. The final stop was just outside Riga to a WWII labor camp. Though a sad history, it is an important one and here you get to dwell into it. We were dropped off just inside the Old Town in Riga just north of the bus station and the central market. I would recommend this tour to anyone because if you are going to be on a bus to get to Riga anyway, why not see more of the two countries? Our guide, Laura, was very knowledgeable and through in her own experiences of growing up in the Baltics and what it was like for her mother that it made everything seem more real.
We had such a great day on the Trakai tour, my favourite was the nature walk through the swamp and the castles were so beautiful too. We had the traditional "kibinai" for lunch, which was really tasty. And our guide Adam was fantastic, he told us a lot of cool stories and we learnt so much about Lithuanian history. He was very friendly and happy to answer all our questions. We felt like travelling with a local friend. I would absolutely recommend the tour for anyone
It was great to get out of the big cities for a day and see some more of the countryside. Better than that was our super enthusiastic guide Laura, who made the day fun and informative. Totally recommended as a way to get between Vilnius and Riga and seeing the sights.
We had a very enjoyable day despite having a long drive! The stops break up the journey and Alina was an excellent guide, friendly and informative and had time to answer all of our questions. Alina even drove us to our airbnb when we arrived in Riga! All of the stops were great, especially Trakai which was beautiful. Would definitely use one of those tour buses again!
Laurynas was an excelent guide, tooks to some great places, and gave us loads of information about the sights and the customs of both countries, which made the trip even better. Really recomend it!
Lair saw me shivering and cold and heading back early from the garden. He lent me his hoody! What a doll! He was an excellent guide. I didn’t love the sites your business chose for the stops and meal but I really like getting out and walking around en route.
Greatest way I’ve travelled between two cities ever.. so glad I booked this tour.. got to see so much more of the two countries than I would in a normal coach trip. The guide was attentive and knowledgeable, really friendly too. Thank you!!
My husband and I had a great day learning the secrets of Lithuanian history and visiting places we never knew existed. Our Guide Laura was fantastic, she was so energetic and told us a lot of fun stores about Lithuania and its past.
Fun day exploring places I had never heard of before. We had a great local food for lunch. Grutas Park was the most memorable place with the old Soviet monuments. The guide was very energetic and answered all our questions. I absolutely recommend taking this tour.
Amazing tour with a lot of great sights and fascinating information. You see both nature and culture. Completely recommend.
We are not really "tour bus" people, but we were traveling with my elderly father and wanted an easy way to see many sites. We looked at renting a car or taking a direct bus, but we are so glad we opted for this tour. Our guides were knowledgeable, good natured, responsive and very funny! The sites we saw were really interesting, and the time flew by. We surprised ourselves in concluding that this was one of the highlights of our 17 day trip. Go figure! Thank you for a wonderful multi-generational experience!
Our guide was informed and personable. Beautiful countryside with well planned stops to stretch our legs at unique sites that we would otherwise not had the opportunity to see. It gave us a chance to have some down time in a busy itinerary and it was nice to let someone else do the driving. The stop for lunch was a lovely site with good food. We had the chicken breast and the ham/cheese crepe. It is a long day but naps are free during the drive ;) My only suggestion would be to clarify exactly where in Cathredral Square pick up will take place. It is a big square.
We had a smalle group which made the tour very fine. The guide (Laura) was there already early so we could leave on time. From the start she was very enthousiastic in her stories and she was always open for an informal conversation. Nice touristic stops and a good restaurant where we ate. It was a great advantage to hear the stories from a real Lithuanian which made the experience more purely. I would recommend this trip to everyone as the better alternative to travel between the two cities surely with such a good guide.
Our guide was excellent in every way. She was very knowledgeable, an excellent driver, and helped us feel at ease so that we could really enjoy our journey. A great day. Many thanks. Ervin
La tappe visitate erano interessanti. La guida, Laura, aveva una discreta conoscenza, le spiegazioni erano interessanti e facilmente ascoltabili anche non avendo una piena comprensione dell'inglese.
Cheaper than flying and you see everything you didn’t know you wanted to along the way - can’t recommend it enough, the guides were really just awesome people - felt like a road trip with friends.
We took the 12 hour trips between Tallinn and Riga and then between Riga and Vilnius. Both days were enjoyable and informative with excellent guides Olga and Triin. Whether stopping at historic castles, nature parks, monuments and museums, or even for lunch, our guides enthusiastically shared local folklore, personal stories, and knowledge of the Baltics. Seeing a little more of the Baltic countries outside of the capitals was a refreshing change as it is mostly gorgeous countryside with farms, forests, wildflowers, and storks! Don't look at any other tour operator because with Traveller Tours you've found the best!
I booked two tours with this company, and was thrilled both times. My friend and I used the tours as our method of transportation between Baltic cities and to see some of the places that are a bit harder to reach on your own. It was shocking to me how cheap these tours were, but also how amazing! The first tour was from Tallinn to Riga. First of all, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. Some highlights were the town of Viljandi, Helme, and Gauja National Park. The second tour was from Riga to Vilnius. Our tour guides were amazing and very knowledgeable, willing to answer obscure questions and also fun as travel companions. This tour had even better highlights, specifically Rundāle Palace, lunch in the incredibly picturesque Audruvis, the Hill of Crosses, and Trakai. I cannot recommend this tour company enough, and will definitely use them on any return trips to the Baltics in the future!
We did the Tallinn-Riga and Riga-Vilnius tours and they were both fantastic. Long days but we visited lots of places that would have been difficult to get to on our own. The guides were friendly and very knowledgable and the atmosphere with such a small group (maximum 8 people) was great. Plenty of space in the back of the van for luggage. Would definitely book another tour with this company.
In June I made three tours, Riga-Tallinn, Lahemaa National Park and Riga-Vilnius. I can recommend all three tours, they were really interesting and we saw a lot of things I didn´t read in a travelguide. Especially Riga-Vilnius was very interesting and we saw a lot interesting places. The staff is very helpful, Isabel answered all my mails very quickly. And Triin is an awesome tour guide. She told the history of Estonia very emotional with a very private character and she told us examples from her own family about the suffering time before Independence. The guides of the other tours were also good, but Triin was phenomenal.
All our tour guides are young educated locals so the tours feel more like discovering with a local friend.
With us you'll explore the highlights, but also experience authentic less-discovered destinations.
We want everyone to get personal attention from the guide so we aim to keep our groups rather small.
